The horizontal metal planes reflect light off their surfaces, creating layers of indirect illumination and integrating with the surrounding architecture.Delicate in design yet graphic in character, the innovative pendant conveys the signature aesthetic of Ichiro Iwasaki, known for his restrained and abstract style. Its minimalist form achieves maximum function as each streamlined disc contains and directs the light, appearing illuminated from within. The LED-powered pendant is suspended by a slim cable and seems to float overhead like a celestial body generating a warm, wraparound glow. It comes with two or four discs in small or medium sizes. Deployed in pairs, the smaller, complementary disc captures and casts light back at the larger plate, creating pockets of soft, pooled light. The LED-powered collection features floor, tabletop, pendant, and ceiling styles with single or multiple discs.A triple-disc, commercial-size pendant with an arm to adjust the height is also available. A study in geometry, Flat’s sculptural spheres and lean lines co-mingle in perfect equipoise to infuse a space with a soothing, Zen sensibility.
