Located in Cetara, a small village along Italy’s Amalfi coast, a contemporary apartment tucked into the hillside occupies a prime perch. The home extends seamlessly outside to a terrace that serves as an al fresco living area, taking full advantage of iconic coastal views. Here, interior designer Ernesto Fusco deployed Vibia fixtures to illuminate the open lounge and dining space.
A pair of Plis Outdoor outdoor floor lamps bookends the terrace’s sink-in white sofas. Designed by Ramos & Bassols, Plis Outdoor features the classic silhouette of an indoor lamp reimagined for the outdoors. Free of embellishment apart from its crisp pleating, its timeless look suits the setting near an ancient domed church.
It casts a warm, welcoming glow that’s perfect for leisurely summer evenings sipping Negronis.
The deck also features two Meridiano lamps designed by Jordi Vilardell and Meritxell Vidal. Formed from an open-slot, spherical steel shade, an ambient LED light source shines through the Meridano’s grid.
The glow radiates outward in a radial sunburst pattern of shadow and light that plays counterpoint to the patio’s linear wooden slats. Topped with foam, the fixture doubles as an extra seat or side table next to the sofas and near the hot tub.
