Alberto LievoreStudied architecture at the Buenos Aires Faculty. At the same time, he worked as an interior designer. In 1972, he created Hipótesis, a furniture showroom/shop with its own workshops, which received widespread local recognition. After moving to Barcelona, he created, together with Norberto Chaves, the Grupo Berenguer, later to be joined by Jorge Pensi and Oriol Pibernat. The group carried out both theoretical and teaching work (Chaves/Pibernat) and practical projects, the most important of which included Lamac, Kron and Perobell. Together with the magazine On, they created SIDI, which acted as the international launch pad for Spanish design. In 1984, he founded his own design studio, focused on product design, consultancy and art direction work for a number of companies.
Jeanette AltherrAltherr was born in Heidelberg in 1965 and studied in the Industrial Design School in Darmstdt. In 1989 se moves to Barcelona to study at the Escuela Massana and stays permanently. She starts then with styling works for several design magazines and for «El País Semanal» and begins collaborating with Alberto Lievore, ending up two years later in the new design studio Lievore Altherr Molina.
She is responsible for the design jobs, consultancy and art direction. Jeannette Altherr thinks of design as a process: «to observe, understand, explore, choose, doubt, take sides, visualise, let go and wait for it to communicate…something».
She is also author of «Children Only», published by Carles Broto.

In addition, partnership has teaching commitments with two of Barcelona's universities. The partnership has received numerous awards and special mentions, both in Spain and abroad, for its work, including the Spanish National Design Award. It has held exhibitions in Barcelona, Cologne, Chicago, Stockholm, Helsinki, Lisbon, London, Louisiana, Madrid, Malmö, Milan, New York, Paris and Tokyo.
