Award-Winning Outdoor: EMPTY

This year, Metropolis Magazine bestowed Vibia with the honorable #MetropolisLikes award! For winning this prestigious honor, we received a special-made trophy, designed by Trueing at A/D/O, which doubles as a kaleidoscope. This kaleidoscope acts as a metaphor for the “everchanging world of design”.

EMPTY, designed by Xuclà, is an outdoor floor lamp, where furnishings and light are integrated into one singular sculpture. After dark, EMPTY transforms its sleek form, through the use of imperceptible LED light sources, to create illuminated tables and seating.

Crafted from a matte gray concrete, the inviting, yet indirect, light is ideal for lighting outdoor pathways and providing the perfect ambience.

EMPTY’s clean, straight lines and a neutral color palette allow it to perfectly integrate into modern spaces.
