Create an Outdoor Oasis

When you’re tired of traveling and crave some downtime close to home, a summer staycation provides the perfect—and increasingly popular—solution.

To fully embrace the season, create an outdoor oasis to rival that of your favorite resort. Whether its poolside, patio or courtyard, Vibia’s outdoor lighting collections instantly transform an ordinary al fresco space into an inspirational retreat.

A blank terrace wall at a residence in Cap Ferret, France offers an ideal canvas for the Origami wall light by Ramón Esteve. The customisable fixture allows the homeowners to create a unique configuration of pieces, creating sculptural décor that casts a warm, ambient glow.

At a sprawling seaside villa in Barhein, two Wireflow pendants suspended in close proximity add a striking architectural element. Designed by Arik Levy for Vibia, the fixtures fill the lofty open-air courtyard, their airy, geometric outline lending restrained elegance to the dramatic design.

In the pool area, Meridiano and Brisa lights are seamlessly integrated into the sleek setting. Designed by Jordi Vilardell and Meritxell Vidal, Meridiano doubles as a stool or side table and casts a stunning spoke pattern along the deck. Directly next to the pool, Brisa, designed by Lievore, Altherr and Molina, features a delicate form that recalls the forest blue bell flower, adding a nature-inspired accent to the space.

In Gubbio, Italy, a stylish pool area features Palo Alto and Meridiano lights. Designed by Xuclà and inspired by tilting tree branches, Palo Alto is at once organic and architectural. Positioned along the perimeter of pool, it lends the effect of illuminated landscaping. Bordering the chaise longues, Meridiano by Jordi Vilardell and Meritxell Vidal provides additional seating or surface space while projecting an intriguing play of light and shadow across the deck.

Designed by Pete Sans for Vibia, the minimalist Tree merges an organic form with cutting-edge material. The oversized silhouette makes a stunning statement at this Hod-Hasharon, Israel home, while perfectly echoing the pared-down poolside aesthetic.

At a home in Bratslavia, Slovakia, the Meridiano floor lamp by Jordi Vilardell and Meritxell Vidal lends a beautiful design element to the backyard. An ambient LED shines through the spherical, open steel slots in a striking sunburst pattern of shadow and light.  Doubling as a seat or side table, Meridiano also offers a space-saving component in the compact area.
