Algorithm declared overall winner of the first edition of the Archiproducts Design Awards 2016

The winners of the first edition of the Archiproducts Design Awards have just been announced, selected from over 490 nominated products by 250 brands sourced from 15 different countries. The Archiproducts Design Awards seek to recognise design excellence in product design under different categories; Furniture, Bathroom, Kitchen, Outdoor, Office, Contract, Lighting, Wellness, Decor, Finishing, Building shell, Construction and Tech.

Overall first prize has been awarded to Vibia for Algorithm the LED blown glass pendant light fitting designed by Toan Nguyen.

Algorithm is a kit of parts that allow designers to create bespoke lighting installations for individual projects. Each of the composite elements is exquisitely resolved; the tubular steel lattice structure that supports the fitting, the vertical metal rods, the striated blown glass sphere diffusers and suspended electrical cables.

The Algorithm collection will be launched worldwide at the end of October 2016.
